Puppy Purchase Agreement

 

Breeding's are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Every effort will be made to proceed with a breeding based on specific litters planned/posted. However if changes need to be made we will make every effort to contact each individual/family that made a deposit with as much notice as possible.

The intent of this contract is to assure the purchaser that puppies bred at Triple Crown German Shorthaired Pointers are not from indiscriminate breeding's, when we evaluate dogs for our breeding program we look for dogs with natural ability, versatility, cooperation, drive, confidence, affection, intelligence, and sound genetics. This will ensure that they make excellent family companions and exceptional hunting dogs, for the posterity of our breeding program.

The following agreement is between Triple Crown German Shorthaired Pointers, and the puppy buyer:

Triple Crown agrees to sell one German Shorthaired Pointer puppy to: __________________________________

For the price of $ 2500.00 of which the initial non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is due to hold a spot on the litter list. Then $1000.00     

non-refundable payment to commit to the litter at time of birth and the final payment of $1000.00 is due 2 weeks prior shipping date or 1 week prior to pick up date.

 

Triple Crown will notify buyer within three days of birth of the litter. puppies are picked in order of deposit 2 weeks after birth.

 

Please note deposits will not be returned in the event that a puppy is not available for the sex buyer has requested, however the deposit will be transferred to another litter in the event a puppy is not available for the sex buyer has requested. Or buyer will be given the opportunity to move to the end of the deposit list on available puppies of the opposite sex or another planned breeding.

 

Triple Crown will ship your puppy. Shipping or pick up day will be the Saturday after the puppies turn 8 weeks old (unless notified otherwise). Shipping is at buyers expense we recommend                               $350.00 at this time gets your pup anywhere in their service area, you must be home to except the puppy. We prefer pickup when possible for health reasons.

 

Buyer agrees to pick up or ship their puppy on above send home date. If the puppy cannot be picked up for unforeseen reasons on that date a boarding fee of $40 a day will be due upon pick up of the puppy.

 

If Buyer decides to ship the puppy then Triple Crown German Shorthaired Pointers does not accept any responsibility for any health issues aside from genetic issues that may arise.

 

Health Guarantees: Triple Crown will provide health and vaccination records to buyer and certifies that, upon buyer’s pick up, or when shipped the puppy is in good health and has been given their first set of vaccinations, has been wormed and has had a health check by a licensed veterinarian. The puppy is covered for dysplasia for up to 6 months of age if the puppy develops a severe case of dysplasia and can not function as a pet and must be euthanized Triple Crown will replace the puppy with one of same value as soon as a suitable one is available. Triple Crown makes no other guarantee written or implied and is not liable for any veterinary bills or cost's.

 

Buyer is responsible to take puppy to their veterinary for a check up within 5 days after pickup and buyer can return the puppy at buyer’s expense for a full refund if it develops an incurable illness within 5 days of being picked up, or if shipped then as stated above. Please wait till after this time period to register the puppy in your name both AKC and NAVHDA. 

 

Buyer must notify Triple Crown German Shorthaired Pointers immediately following diagnosis. Documentation must be provided by buyer’s veterinarian and will be reviewed by Triple Crown and veterinarian for concurrence.

 

After concurrence with buyer's vet buyer must then return the puppy within 48 hours of notifying Triple Crown of the puppy’s illness with all registration paperwork and health records at buyer’s expense.

 

Triple Crown German Shorthaired Pointers does not accept responsibility for contagious diseases, or incurable illness if diagnosed after 5 days from date of pick up. or after day of shipping. If during examination by buyer's veterinarian a genetic issue is found and documented in writing by the examining veterinarian, the puppy may be returned at buyer’s expense for a full refund. or replaced with a suitable replacement shipping would be at buyer's expense.

If the genetic issue can be repaired and buyer wishes to do so, Triple Crown will reimburse buyer up to the 1/2 the cost of the puppy, any additional expenses will be the sole responsibility of buyer.

 

Should any circumstances arise that affect the quality of life or care of the puppy Triple Crown German Shorthaired Pointers wants to help and should be informed so they may help participate in determining the future of the puppy, this does not cover conditions that are a result of negligence and/or abuse of the puppy.  If puppy is sold given away transferred to any one other than original buyer the guarantee will be null and void.

Triple Crown German Shorthaired Pointers will register your puppy with limited AKC and NAVHDA registrations to protect the blood lines of our dogs but it allows you to show in specific events if desired. We may at our discretion lift the limited registration if bred to only an AKC, NAVHDA, and accomplished dogs,  for a fee equal to the cost of your puppy.

 

Subject to change: Pups will be $2500.00 with a 500.00 non-refundable deposit. Triple Crown German Shorthaired Pointers agrees to: register the litter with AKC and NAVHDA, dock the tail, remove the dew claws, microchip and register the microchip for the new owner, all applicable shots to the age of 8 weeks and worming for the puppy.

 

Buyer agrees that from the date the puppy leaves our facility, or takes possession of the puppy, buyer accepts all liability for the actions of the puppy and holds Triple Crown German Shorthaired Pointers harmless with regard to any, and all parties. No other warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are made under this contract except as stated herein.

Triple Crown is dedicated to the improvement of the German Shorthaired Pointers breed.

 

We do not hold you liable, but would love to see our puppies provided with a hunting home and where the puppy could live in the house as part of the family as ours do. Expose the puppy to a hunting environment in preparation for NAVHDA’s natural ability test, and test the puppy in NAVHDA’s natural ability test prior to the puppy reaching sixteen (16) months of age. 

 

Maintain the puppy in good health as recommended by a veterinarian, and provide all proper immunizations, regular vaccine boosters, fecal exams, heartworm tests, and recommended routine therapy.  Will not spay or neuter the puppy until it is a minimum of 9 to 15 months for male, and 5 to 6 months old for female, prior to her first heat for this GSP breed and as recommended by your veterinarian.
